Submitting Payment for a Single Order
If submitting payment for a single Take One! participant, include the participant’s name and Take One! identification number. This ID number is provided to the participant on an order confirmation screen after the participant completes and submits the online Take One! order form.

Submitting Multiple Payments

If submitting full payment for multiple Take One! participants, your agency may qualify for a discount based on the volume price schedule listed below:

Number of Entries Price Per Entry
1-10 $395
11-25 $385
26-50 $370
51+ $355

Volume is based on the units purchased with each check or purchase order, not on cumulative units across multiple payments.

NBPTS recommends the following strategy and timeline for managing large volumes of Take One! participants:

  • Decide how many teachers will be funded to participate in Take One!
  • Encourage participants to review the instructions for Take One! and begin work on their Take One! entry as soon as possible.
  • Direct participants to complete and submit the Take One! online order form by October 15, 2008. Instruct the participants not to submit payment with their order.
  • Participants should print their Take One! order confirmation screen, which contains their Take One! ID (an eight-digit number) and provide their ID number to the agency along with their name no later than October 31, 2008.
  • Using the Volume Pricing Schedule above, calculate the pricing discount and total cost. To qualify for volume pricing, the sponsoring institution must submit at least 11 participants on the transmittal form (PDF - 58kb).
  • Complete a purchase order or submit a check based on the volume and mail it for receipt by NBPTS no later than December 31, 2008. The check or purchase order must be accompanied by a transmittal form (PDF - 58kb).
  • Participants will receive their Take One! kit within three weeks of receipt of the purchase order or check.

Withdrawals, Refunds and Deferrals

Withdrawals and Refunds
Participants can withdraw from Take One! until the April 15 submission deadline. However, if a participant withdraws within 60 days of their online order date, the agency will automatically receive a refund of Take One! fee payments, less the $100 nonrefundable fee, in the form of a credit against their account. If the number of withdrawals causes the final number of participants on the purchase order to drop to a lower discount level, NBPTS reserves the right to determine any refund or credit amount based on the resulting change in price level.

Deferrals
Once fully paid, NBPTS policy permits participants to defer the submission of their entry for up to one year. NBPTS assesses no financial penalty to the participant should they decide to defer.
