NBPTS is committed to supporting a comprehensive program of quality research that investigates and documents the impact of National Board Certification on teachers, students and schools. Many of our research studies were supported through contracts and grants from the U.S. Department of Education and philanthropic agencies, but do not necessarily represent the views of those agencies or of NBPTS.

The full texts of most studies are available on this Web site. NBPTS is unable to fulfill requests for report copies. The abstracts for the research studies were prepared in one of the following ways:

• Provided by external researchers and may have been extracted from the final report
• Prepared by NBPTS staff
• Prepared by both external researchers and NBPTS staff
