Arizona Candidate Financial Support

Arizona is pleased to announce that funding is available to help offset the cost of the assessment fee. This funding is made possible through a Federal Subsidy grant from the United States Department of Education. Arizona teachers with a current or new certificates must participate in 180 hours of professional development activities in order to renew their standard certificates during each valid six-year period. National Board Certification is recognized as having met the requirements for a standard certificate in the corresponding educational area in Arizona, and as a means of meeting the professional growth requirement for renewal.
