Wisconsin is pleased to announce that funding is available to help offset the cost of the assessment fee. This funding is made possible through a Federal Subsidy grant from the United States Department of Education. Funding Available - First-Time Candidates State Funding
Teachers who achieve National Board Certification may apply to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for reimbursement of up to $2,000 for expenses they incurred during the process of becoming NBPTS certified within the first year of their certification as long as they are either employed as teachers in Wisconsin public schools and licensed by the state superintendent, or employed as a teacher in a private school located in Wisconsin. Funding Available - First-Time Candidates Federal Funding
The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction utilizes NBPTS Candidate Subsidy funds to defray up to one-half of the $2500 NBPTS Certification Fee. Deadline to apply: December 15, 2008.
Funding Available Retake Candidates
If candidate subsidy funds are available, retake candidates who have not received prior subsidy funds, may be eligible to receive funds for up to two exercises.
